Spain 2

It was a exciting day today We (Britney and I) got to see the Romans community and got to go in a private tour that included going in a tunnel and see how the roman use to get their water. We saw what they think use to be a theater, the houses were important people lived and were the poor people lived. You can really tell the difference betweeb the houses by the size and the way they were built. It was entertaining and i actually learned something.

 

Today was Dr. Abels birthday so we had dinner at a restaurant just telling storys of our lives and having a good time just talking. Then we went for a little walk. I asked someone what was the score in the game (spain vs Russia) and they ended up talking to me about diff rent citys in Spain and what there was to see! people here are really friendly and like to talk a lot which is not bad you just don’t see a lot of that in the united states. I love how people are really friendly here.

Spain

We left London friday and arrived in Santiago de compostela, Spain. I loved the little town a lot. It might of been small but it hold a lot of history. A lot of old churches. The people there are very friendly.

We left Santiago and landed in Madrid Saturday. Madrid is a beautiful big city, were most of the transportation process is done in the metro system. So when we were hungry and wanted to get to a restaurant is was the way to go. We got on the metro were it was grouded and in all the pushing and trying to get in the metro some stupid girls stole my wallet witch had all my money and cards and Id! I was so mad what am i suppose to do in a strange country with no money or cards.But the bright side is that they did not take my passport! or i would be in big trouble. In all it has been a good experince so far, I’m excited to see the other citys!

London

Kim, Brit, and I landed in LondonWednesday morning were Dr. Abel was already waiting for us. We started out the day just walking around the city. We got to try different kinds of food and drinks. We all liked london but for me it was not that good I ended up getting sick and having to spend part of the next day sleeping and missing out on going to the musum. After all it was a nice experience in a new place.

Travel Mates

I have three travel mates that are going to Spain with me, Kim, Brittney, and Dr. Abel. KIm is looking up churches and their history and structure that she will need for her research. Brittney is looking up the distance the churches are from each other and directions on getting there. My job is to be a assistant to them when they need help or to translate something.

everything is going well right now. Work is going fine I have looked up information about spain and I’m getting more and more excited about it! I can not wait to go overseas for the first time. The people I’m working with are very nice and friendly is a nice group to work with!

Assignment

I’m looking up information and translating information about Spain right now ans everything looks so beautiful! Everyday I get more exited about the trip. Hopefully when we get there everything looks the same as the book.

teachers assistant

Hi Everyone my name is Lisette I’m currently a teachers assistant for Dr. Abel and two grad students. I’m also a Emerald Eagle Scholar thats how I heard about this job. Part of the job is going to Spain and translating for them if I need too. I alos get a 1,000 dollar grant toward my tuition for next year. I’m going to be writing about my experiece working as a student assistant through out the semester and when we go to spain this summer.
